Carbamex whitewash highlights the grain of wood in white furniture and small surfaces.
Whitewash Carbamex® brings an inimitable cachet to veined woods such as oak, chestnut, ash.
Its delicate alternation between white and the color of the wood makes it easy to create a beautiful decorative look.
Preparation of the piece of wood to be patinated:
- Intended for clean, dry surfaces without traces of old finishes.
- If necessary, bare the wood with Briançon Stripper or Wax Remover then sand.
- Contaminated wood must be scraped, cleaned, then treated with Aqua Briançon Wood Treatment
- Dig the wood with a wire brush in the direction of the grain, more or less deeply depending on the desired effect
- Dust carefully
How to use whitened aged effects whitewash:
- The Céruse Carbamex is ready to use.
- Shake well before use.
- Apply with a brush or a cloth, wiping off the excess as you go with a cloth.
- Grate very lightly so that only the hollow veins remain white and dust well.
- >Cover with a Wax, an Oil or a Briançon or Blanchon Varnish
- Utensil cleaning: Acetone
- Immediately after use.
- Thoroughly wring the material after application. Wipe it well. Rinse it with very little water in a container.
- Let this water evaporate. The residue can then be discarded normally in the trash.
- Do not dispose of residues in the sewer.
Technical characteristics of Carbamex white lead:
- Yield: 16 m² per liter per coat, approximately
- Drying: about 2 hours
- Shelf life: 1 year in original sealed packaging. Store away from frost
- Recap carefully after use.
