Helical mortising bit for making 6 mm mortises.

The mortising bit mounts on the shaft end mortisers of a planer jointer. Its direction of rotation is therefore a function of that of the machine.

To avoid any order error, always look at the direction of rotation of the chuck of your jointer from the back, especially not from the front! If the chuck rotates left, then a left-rotating mortise bit is required and vice versa.

There are 2 types of mortise bits: basic with chip breaker or helical for better chip evacuation.
